'The entirety of 'Live In Dreams' is suffused with warmth, drifting somewhere between shuddering textures and more placid synthesizer music. "The Open Door" is especially luscious, bringing to mind East India Youth and a hint of Terry Riley with its breathy samples and welcome instrusion of clanking found sounds, repurposed into pinpoint percussive detail as the song evolves. It's brief but memorable, especially as birds scatter shrieking through the smoky orchestral outro. The individual elements are mechanical, yet as a whole "The Open Door" feels utterly natural.''
